Pelargonium elongatum
A delightful low-growing pelargonium with kidney-shaped leaves which have a dark brown horseshoe zone in the centre and are shallow-lobed on long thin petioles. The flowers are cream with narrow petals and red veins, but occasionally have a touch of pink on the petals. P. elongatum is a small straggling ground-covering plant which prefers to grow under or next to taller plants in the garden. Best planted in medium-sized pots or larger pots mixed with other plants, window boxes or planted in the garden.

This plant is native to the Western Cape & Eastern Cape on mountain slopes and in dry rocky areas with Winter rainfall & year round rainfall.
Pelargonium elongatum prefers sandy/loam soil in full sun to part shade. Best planted in medium sized pots or in larger pots mixed with other plants or planted in the garden.
