Pelargonium multicaule is a low spreading trailing shrub-let with reddish green hairs and grows to about 30 cm (11 inches) in length, the leaves are triangular and light green in colour with purplish pink flowers & darker purple markings on the upper petals, the two upper petals are larger than the lower and each flowering stalk contains 5 flowers.

This plant is native to South Africa in the Eastern & Western Cape where it grows in mountainous areas which has both Summer & Winter rainfall.
